Officially named the Republic of Zambia, Zambia is a landlocked country in Southern Africa. The capital city is Lusaka, in the south-central part of Zambia.
The population is concentrated mainly around Lusaka in the south and the Copperbelt Province to the northwest, the core economic hubs of the country.
In 2010, the World Bank named Zambia one of the world's fastest economically reformed countries.
The educational system in Zambia is in desperate need of improvement. The enrollment rate for primary education is at 87% where as higher education is only 37%. Textbooks, furniture and computers are just some of the resources that can help to increase the educational standards.
Even though the Zambian Health Care system is improving, the standard of health care still remains very low. There is a lack of medical equipment, trained personnel and technological resources for health facilities across the country, especially in rural areas.
Across the country Zambians struggle to get access to the latest technologies abundantly available to developed countries. Incredibly 75% of the population do not have any access to the internet which stifles social and economic development.
