Uganda Youth Soccer Academy is much more than a football training club. It was set up to provide children from the slums of Kampala with education and nutrition, in addition to sports training. Children wishing to train in football must also study Math and English. They also run humanitarian projects, including “Empowering Women and Girls” and “Kick Out Malaria”.

The Challenge: The charity wanted to keep track of the 150 children who attend the academy and their training, as well as to teach them how to use email and other basic ICT skills.

Our Help: Following a visit from Kakembo Ivan, Academy Director and Henry Kalungi, Co-director visited our headquarters and were presented with two laptops .

Some of the most disadvantaged young people in Uganda are being supported by Youth Soccer Academy through education and soccer. Computers 4 Africa is honoured to donate two laptops which will provide the kids with a taste of IT and facilitate a better system of administration. Morgan Hopkins - Head of Beneficiary Managemen

The Results: The computers are being used to monitor and keep a record of the children. They are used so they can email their European sponsor families.

I can’t find words to thank you for your kind gesture toward the Uganda Youth Soccer Academy but again I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for reaching out to usKakembo Ivan
